What we collect

When you run a scan, you enter your business name, category, location and optionally a website URL. If you contact us about a paid service, we receive your email address and whatever you write to us. That's it — we don't ask for anything we don't need.

How a scan works

To assess your AI visibility, Chosen fetches your public website (if you give a URL) and sends the details you entered to the Anthropic (Claude) API, which generates your score and fix assets. Your inputs are processed to produce your result. We don't use them to build a profile of you.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data. We don't run ads. We don't share your information with third parties except the service providers needed to run the scan (e.g. Anthropic's API) and our hosting (Netlify).

Cookies & tracking

Chosen itself doesn't set marketing cookies or track you across the web. Our host may keep basic, anonymous server logs for security and reliability.

Your choices

You can email us any time to ask what we hold or to have your enquiry details deleted. Since scans are processed on the spot, simply not running a scan means we hold nothing about you.

Using Chosen

Chosen is a tool by Uncommon Ground Tools that assesses how AI engines see your business and generates assets to improve that. By using it, you agree to these terms. Use it for your own business or a business you're authorised to act for — please don't scan sites you have no connection to in order to misuse the results.

What we provide

Chosen gives you an assessment and generated assets (structured data, FAQ, llms.txt). These are tools to make your business more findable. You're responsible for reviewing what's generated and for adding it to your own site.

No guarantee of results

We're honest about this: we cannot guarantee any specific ranking, placement, or that any AI engine will recommend you. AI engines are controlled by third parties and change constantly. Chosen improves your foundations and makes you genuinely more rank-worthy — it does not and cannot promise a "#1" or guaranteed visibility.

Accuracy

Scores and suggestions are generated by AI and are a guide, not a certified audit. Always check that generated details (prices, hours, contact info) match your real business before publishing them.

Done-For-You work

Paid services are quoted and agreed individually by email before any work begins. Scope, price, and what's included are confirmed with you first. Nothing is charged without your go-ahead.

Your content

The business details you enter remain yours. You grant us permission to process them to produce your result. You keep full ownership of the fixes we generate for you — they're yours to use.

Liability

Chosen is provided "as is". To the extent allowed by law, Uncommon Ground Tools isn't liable for indirect losses arising from use of the tool or the generated assets. Our aim is to genuinely help — but the final decisions about your site are yours.
